What you do yourself per plan
- Starter: RankLantern checks your site and writes articles. You approve the ideas and publish the drafts yourself.
- Pro: the same, but Autopilot comes up with and writes articles every week on its own, on more sites and with Search Console insights. With an API key you connect RankLantern to your own tools, such as Claude Code, Cursor or n8n (how connecting works). You check and publish.
- Agency: the same as Pro, for your clients' sites. You or your client check and publish, and you send the monthly report with your own logo.
- Managed: we make the plan and check everything, and publish in consultation with you. You get a monthly report and a short call. Read more about outsourcing SEO.
What SEO costs
An SEO agency usually charges by the hour or by the month, often with a longer contract. A standalone SEO tool costs less, but then you do the work yourself. RankLantern sits in between: the software does the work, you or we keep an eye on it.

Payment, VAT and cancelling
You pay in advance per month via Stripe, by direct debit or credit card. Prices exclude 21% VAT; the VAT is shown separately on the invoice. You cancel yourself in your account, and your subscription runs until the end of the paid month. See also the terms and conditions.
Frequently asked questions
›Can I switch plans?
Yes, in your account under Subscription. An upgrade takes effect immediately and the difference is settled pro rata. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current month.
›What if I don't have WordPress?
Then everything works except getting drafts ready automatically. You copy an article as text, HTML or Markdown to your own site.
›What counts as an article?
Every article RankLantern writes for you, even if you don't publish it afterwards. Coming up with ideas doesn't count. The counter starts again on the 1st of every month.
›Are there setup costs?
No. You only pay the monthly amount.
›I run an agency. Which plan fits?
Agency: €249 per month for 10 websites, and €19 per month for every website on top. You add those yourself under Account. The monthly report gets your own logo and name, so you send it to your client as your own report.
›Can my client view it?
Yes. Under Account → Team and clients you invite your client with “View only”: they see the site, the articles and the monthly report, but can't change or publish anything. You download issues, pages and positions as CSV. In the app your client does see the name RankLantern; only the monthly report is in your own style.
›How do I pay?
In advance per month via Stripe, by direct debit or credit card. The invoice is in your account.
›Can I cancel whenever I want?
Yes, monthly. Your subscription then runs until the end of the month you've already paid for.
